Congratulations to Dakota Cameron, winner of an EcoAward from Westchester County Department of Environmental Facilities for her Science Research project focused on reducing the environmental impacts of plastic fibers from the fast fashion industry!
“Winners were selected for significant contributions to recycling and waste reduction, and for innovative and impactful eco-practices in Westchester,” said Stephen Abenavoli, Westchester County Program Specialist.
Dakota will receive the award on Friday, April 25, at Tibbetts Brook Park in Yonkers. Last year’s recipients included Greystone Food Scrap Program, Hilltop Hanover Farm and Mom’s Organic Market in Dobbs Ferry.
